Collingwood Children's Farm

I would like to thank all who came to the Collingwood Children's Farm
Family Day. We had a fantastic day with lots of people coming to our
display for patting and cuddling ratties. The weather was great but the big open fire was
still appreciated. There were goats, lambs, chickens, ducks, geese, guinea pigs and big pigs,
horses, cows, cats and dogs all vying for pats and photos. The horse rides were very
popular with long queues of children waiting for their turn.

We had a fantastic member turn out with 25 + members coming along. This made
putting the display together super fast and packing up a breeze. There were plenty of
ratties waiting for their turn to meet and greet and all excelled. We have been invited
back next year too. The farm staff were lovely and constantly making sure we had everything
we needed and that included lunch.

I would like to say a special thank you to our wonderful Julie for attending to
young Caleb when he had an accident. He is now the proud owner of a beautiful
fat lip (great for "show and tell" if he was at school).  
 
We had a great day and this boads well for the upcoming show season with so many
members supporting (as Glenys would say) the world's greatest rat club.
